Cricket Australia Hitting the Reef for Six

Ben Cutting was the representative for Cricket Australia as they travelled to Agincourt Reef aboard Quicksilver to highlight the iconic Great Barrier Reef for a national promotion aimed at raising awareness of and encouraging young cricket fans to play cricket.

Tony Baker, Quicksilver Group Managing Director said “Quicksilver was pleased to host Ben Cutting from Cricket Australia to showcase the iconic wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.  While Cricket Australia is yet to introduce underwater cricket, Nemo and his reef friends cheered Ben as he hit the underwater world for a six.”

Australian and Queensland Cricketer, Ben Cutting, said he thoroughly enjoyed the trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. Also travelling to the reef and to represent the future of cricket was Mossman local Tristian Geddes who managed to have a day off school to travel with one of his heroes.

Ben said after his reef experience “It’s amazing what you can witness out on the Reef. I really enjoyed heading out today with the Quicksilver crew to promote the sport I love in one of the most picturesque spots in the world. If you haven’t been out to see one of the World’s Wonders’ I’d highly encourage you to do it!”
