The Quickest – Mo-Bros on the Reef

Movember 2009The Quicksilver Group is once again getting hairy and supporting Movember with a concerted effort to raise funds for this important cause. Now in its sixth year Movember has achieved some amazing results by working alongside The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCFA) and beyondblue: the national depression initiative.

Many staff from across the Quicksilver Group’s operations, sales and marketing and frontline crew including Hiro Nagano, Brian Cave, Bret Hollingsworth, Michael Healy, Peter Price and Dave Iles are getting behind the cause by attempting to grow a variety of different moustaches.

Mr Nagano said “I have decided to put down my razor for one month and help raise awareness and funds for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men. What many people do not appreciate is that close to 3,000 men die of prostate cancer each year in Australia and one in eight men will experience depression in their lifetime, many of whom don’t seek help. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved and I am hoping that you will support me and the group.”

“While we will be having a bit of fun, we’re very pleased to be supporting the serious side of this unique fundraising event,” said Quicksilver Group’s Megan Bell.

Green Island Resort is also onboard with a locals special for Movember including mo – trims for the guys and a welcome beers and champagne for the ladies. One lucky Mo grower will be in the draw for a return night on Green Island Resort.

So we encourage mo growers to jump on board with a night on Green Island or support the crew with a worthy donation.
