Since 1983 Pro Dive Cairns has developed and maintained an international reputation as the premier dive company in Cairns. We offer the highest qaulity and best value liveaboard trips to the outer Great Barrier Reef. Our 3 multi million dollar purpose built dive vessels provide unquestionably the ver best outer reef liveaboard experience in Cairns.

Currently we are seeking applications from PADI Dive Instructors to teach all levels of PADI courses. Preference will be given to INSTRUCTORS ELIGIBLE TO HOLD AN AUSTRALIAN WORKING HOLIDAY VISA OR AUSTRALIAN RESIDENTS who are available for an immediate start.

In keeping with the high level of professional service we provide, Instructors employed at Pro Dive Cairns are required to hold the following QUALIFICATIONS.

1. A current and valid Working holiday Visa or Australia Resident
2. Current teaching status as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or higher rating.
3. Nitrox Specialty instructor
4. A current Australian Standard 2299 Diving medical (can be arranged in Cairns)
5. A current Senior 1st aid certification. (PADI EFR or EFR INSTRUCTOR not valid)
6. A current (12 months) certification in Oxygen Resuscitation.
7. A valid motor vehicle driver licence, held for a minimum of three consecutive years
8. Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety at Sea  or STCW 95
9. Recreational shipmasters licence.
10. Cert 4 TAE or willing to attain this during employment

Further we are seeking people with the following skills and personal attributes:

• Professional presentation
• Good Knowledge of all PADI course
• Good sales skills
• A boating background or sound knowledge of boats and boating skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent team worker
• Experience in operations at Dive Holiday Destinations
• Very Customer orientated
• Outgoing but not overbearing personality
• Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
• Multi lingual is always a big plus (German, Japanese, French, Italian, etc

Our selection process will involve a formal interview held in Cairns as well a 5 Day training/orientation trip to assess each candidates suitability to our organisation
