We're looking for a friendly,  bilingual Japanese and English speaker who loves great service! You will play an important role in creating a welcoming and inclusive guest experience through attentive service and clear communication.

Spend your workday in one of Tropical North Queensland’s most iconic island locations. Green Island, located 27km offshore from Cairns, offers a unique opportunity to work in a relaxed, friendly and truly special environment.

About the role

As a bilingual Food & Beverage Attendant, you will deliver high-quality customer service across all food and beverage outlets, confidently assisting guests in multiple languages to ensure their needs are understood and met.

Working closely with both Front of House and Kitchen teams, you support smooth and efficient service delivery. Your ability to communicate effectively, anticipate guest needs, and maintain high service standards helps create a positive and memorable dining experience for every guest.

Your role will include:

  • Greeting guests and processing of orders in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Communicate with kitchen staff for any specific guest requests
  • Ensure food and beverages meet presentation and quality standards
  • Supporting bar, café, restaurant or buffet operations as rostered
  • Ensuring service areas remain clean, organised and well presented
  • Working on a rotating roster, that will include weekends and public holidays

What We’re Looking For:

  • Language: Native or high-conversational fluency in both Japanese and English. 
  • A positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • Ability to work in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Well-presented and reliable
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willingness to obtain

Desirable but not essential:

  • Bar, barista or previous hospitality experience
