About the role
This hands-on supervisory role at Green Island Resort involves overseeing daily operations across multiple food and beverage outlets. Working in a remote location with seasonal tourism and a transient team. Your role would include leading the team, mentoring, training, and motivating the Food and Beverage staff to ensure consistent performance. Must have a have strong leadership skills, extensive food and beverage knowledge and be adaptable during peak periods and operational challenges.
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, coach and support a diverse front-of-house team to deliver consistent service; coordinating rosters across multiple outlets, to ensure adequate coverage across multiple outlets, balancing staff availability, skills, and operational demand.
- Ensure seamless and personalised service for day and overnight guests by anticipating needs across breakfast, lunch and evening dining. Maintaining clear communication with kitchen staff and other departments (e.g. housekeeping, reservations).
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to staff based on service needs, ensuring an even distribution of workload and operational efficiency.
- Provide ongoing training and support for staff in service standards, safety procedures and product knowledge, using a variety of methods to accommodate different learning styles and language abilities, ensuring all team members are set up for success.
- Uphold company policies while promoting a cohesive, professional, and inclusive workplace that values diversity and supports staff well-being in an isolated island setting.

- Food Safety Supervisor
- RSA
- RMLV/ Approved Liquor Manager Licence
- First Aid Qualifications
