September 28th, 2010Record Numbers Compete in the Great Adventures Green Island Ocean Swim
In slightly choppy conditions the 5th annual Great Adventures Green Island Ocean Swim attracted a record number of swimmers in the 1.5km and 3km swim on Sunday 26th September as 119 competitors swam in this unique Great Barrier Reef event.

Michael Healy, Quicksilver Group Director of Sales and Marketing said “ The event is now its fifth year, and goes from strength to strength. It is a wonderful community event that attracted 119 swimmers aged from 12- 80 years, including veteran Cairns swimmer, Thelma Bryan who successfully completed the 3km swim.”
